I really want Brandon Marshall.

Like, really badly.  Like, really, really, really, really, really, really badly.  He isn’t good, he’s elite.  When the fuck was the last time Seattle had an elite WR?  Steve Largent?  Ever?

Brandon Marshall is easily a Top 5 WR in the entire league.  He’s probably #3 behind Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson.  Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith, and Calvin Johnson are all right there too, but I think Marshall is just a notch ahead of those guys.  It’d probably take a lot to get him because the Broncos placed a 1st round tender on him, meaning if we signed him, we’d have to give up our 1st round pick, which is the #6 overall.  That’s probably not going to happen, and I don’t want to pay that price for him anyway.  Work out some sort of sign-and-trade, give them a 2nd rounder or a 4th and Deon Branch and call it a day.

Jeremy Bates, the new Offensive Coordinator in Seattle, was Marshall’s Offensive Coordinator in Denver.  Marshall is kind of a diva and a headache off the field, but he’s so good that the risk outweighs the reward.  He’s like the new T.O., but I think he has more upside than T.O. ever had.

Dude is 25 years old and these are his last three years in Denver, stats wise:

2007: 102 catches, 1325 yards, 7 TDs
2008: 104 catches, 1265 yards, 6 TDs
2009: 101 catches, 1120 yards, 10 TDs

Yes, 2007 & 2008 were with Jay Cutler behind center, but he still put up stupid numbers with Kyle Orton at the helm last year.  We need Brandon Marshall.

Our new GM, Pete Carroll John Schneider needs to make this happen.  Like, yesterday.  I want Brandon Marshall so badly that it hurts.  Go get him, Schneider.
